1. Introduction
This Refund Policy governs the terms under which users may request a refund or credit for a session booked through MySession App.
Please note:
- LAB Disrupt Ltd (operator of MySession App) does not set, manage, or enforce refund rules.
- We are a technology platform that connects Instructors (Coaches) with Users (Parents, Guardians, or Individuals).
- All refund decisions are made solely by the Instructor (Coach) who offers the session, in accordance with their own cancellation and attendance policy.
2. Who This Policy Applies To
- User: The person who books a session (e.g., parent, guardian, or individual)
- Instructor: The coach or activity provider who creates and runs the session
- MySession App: A neutral platform facilitating booking and payment processing
Important: MySession App does not:
- Take responsibility for session delivery
- Guarantee refunds
- Intervene in disputes unless required by law
3. Refund Eligibility
Refunds or credits are determined by the Instructor’s cancellation policy, which must be clearly displayed on their Space profile and at the time of booking.
However, the following standard guidelines apply unless otherwise stated by the Instructor:
User Cancels More Than 24 Hours Before Session Start
- The User may cancel and is eligible for:
- A full financial refund OR
- A credit toward future sessions (at the Instructor’s discretion)
- The choice of refund method (money back or credit) is up to the Instructor.
User Cancels Less Than 24 Hours Before Session Start
- No refund or credit is guaranteed.
- The Instructor may choose to offer a credit at their discretion.
- Once a session has started, no refunds are available.
Session Cancelled by the Instructor
- The User will automatically receive:
- A full refund or
- A credit valid for rebooking
- The option (refund or credit) will be communicated by the Instructor via the app.
No-Shows (User Fails to Attend)
- If the User does not attend and does not cancel in advance, no refund or credit will be issued.
- Attendance tracking (if used) may support this decision.
4. How Refunds Are Processed
- When an Instructor approves a refund, the amount will be returned to the original payment method.
- Processing time: 3–5 business days (subject to bank or card issuer).
- The £0.50 MySession App convenience fee will also be refunded to the User.
Note: While MySession App processes the transaction, the decision to refund rests entirely with the Instructor.
5. Instructor Responsibilities
- Clearly state their cancellation and refund policy on their Space/profile.
- Respond promptly to refund requests.
- Honour their published policy consistently.
- Treat Users fairly and professionally.
Instructors may define stricter or more flexible policies (e.g., “no refunds under any circumstances” or “7-day cancellation window”), but these must be visible before booking.
6. User Responsibilities
- Read the Instructor’s refund policy before booking.
- Cancel in advance if unable to attend.
- Understand that MySession App does not guarantee refunds.
- Contact the Instructor directly with questions about cancellations.
7. Dispute Resolution
- Direct Communication: Both parties should attempt to resolve it directly via in-app messaging.
- Platform Support: MySession App may assist by providing booking records or transaction details.
- No Financial Liability: LAB Disrupt Ltd accepts no liability for outcomes.
- Escalation: If required by law, we will comply with lawful requests or chargeback processes initiated by payment providers.
8. Changes to This Policy
This Refund Policy serves as a recommended framework. Individual Instructors may have different rules, which always take precedence when clearly communicated.
We may update this guidance from time to time to reflect best practices. Any changes will be posted on our website.
